JEWISH BERLIN

This three hour walk starts on Jewish Street, where the thirteenth century Jewish ghetto used to be. About a third of the tour is spent exploring this area which later became known as the Jewish quarter. It was in fact the area where the poor Jews from Eastern Europe used to live.
The second stage of the tour moves to the banking and business district of the city where the more affluent Jews lived. This is a very light-hearted section of the tour because it deals with a short but intensive period when the Jews were involved in every aspect of Berlin life.
The third and final part of the walk visits the places where the Nazi leaders made the decisions which led to the extermination of this once vibrant Jewish community.

The price per group is EUR 160,-
